Key assistant and advisor to the Platoon Sergeant. Generally has enough experience and puts it to use by making quick, accurate decisions in the best interests of the soldiers and the unit. Sergeant First Class is the highest enlisted rank available that is not assigned on an as needed basis. Sergeants First Class can serve as Squad Leaders, and other than the Platoon Sergeant, are generally the most experienced enlisted soldiers in a unit.

  • Member has lived up to the requirements of the rank of SSG
  • Member has been a SSG for 14 weeks minimum

    • Member has the capability to lead a squad or may fill in as a Platoon Sergeant if needed
    • Member is eligible to lead a Clan Department if another member of higher rank is not already leading that department

MASTER SERGEANT (MSG) E8

Master Sergeant is the minimum required rank to serve as a Platoon Sergeant. The Platoon Sergeant is the senior enlisted soldier in each platoon, and serves as the Platoon Leader’s enlisted advisor and right hand. The Platoon Sergeant is responsible for the training of the platoon, and ensuring that all training is conducted according to TRADOC standards. On the battlefield, the Platoon Sergeant is the Platoon Leader’s guardian angel, ensuring his safety and helping to keep the platoon combat effective.

Requirements
  • Member has lived up to the requirements of the rank of SFC
  • Member has been a SFC for 18 weeks minimum
Privileges
  • Member has the capability to lead or become second in command of a squad, if there is not already a member with the same or higher rank.
  • Member can apply for a First Sergeant role in a company.
  • Member is eligible to lead a Clan Department if another member of higher rank is not already leading that department

FIRST SERGEANT (1SG) E8

The First Sergeant is the senior enlisted soldier in each company, and serves as the Company Commander’s enlisted advisor. The First Sergeant is responsible for coordinating all training activity for the company with the Platoon Sergeants, and ensuring that training is conducted according to TRADOC standards. On the battlefield, the First Sergeant works closely with the Company Commander and Executive Officer, ensuring their safety and helping to keep the unit combat effective.

Requirements
  • Member has applied and been accepted for a First Sergeant position
  • Member is active for at least 8+ hours a week
  • Member has been a MSG for 12 weeks minimum
  • Member aids Company Commander

SERGEANT MAJOR (SGM) E9

The Sergeant Major is the senior enlisted soldier in each battalion, and serves as the Battalion Commander’s enlisted advisor. The Sergeant Major is responsible for coordinating all training activity for the battalion, and is the primary counselor and disciplinarian for the NCO’s in the unit. On the battlefield, the Sergeant Major works closely with the Battalion Commander and Executive Officer, ensuring their safety, and helping to keep the unit combat effective.

  • Member has been 1SG for 14 weeks minimum

COMMAND SERGEANT MAJOR (CSM) E9

The Command Sergeant Major is the highest ranking enlisted soldier in the clan. This is the senior enlisted soldier in the clan, and this soldier serves as the right hand and adviser to the 508th Commander. On the battlefield, this soldier’s is the commander’s guardian angel.

  • Member has been SGM for 16 weeks minimum

  • Member is the right hand of the Clan Commander
